One of the most common questions I hear from our community is this👇
How do you stay motivated + inspired when working toward really big ideas? How do you stay on track when the end goal feels so far away?
I LOVE this question, and can definitely relate to feeling a dip in my motivation from time to time. When that feeling arises, I remind myself of these 3 simple things that I know will help you too:
1️⃣ Realize that you won’t always feel motivated or inspired, period. So don’t expect to feel that way 24/7! So often business or personal growth is glamorized on social media and we forget that ANY growth is uncomfortable AF. Be brutally honest and check in with yourself—is the “lack of motivation” you’re feeling really just your mind trying to keep you comfortable? Is this an upper limit?
2️⃣ The fastest way to get re-inspired is to put your focus back on who your big ideas are about in the first place—spoiler alert: it’s not about YOU, that big idea is 100% about who you will SERVE. Connect with someone who you can serve or help, and ask them what they need right now.
3️⃣ What will really get you into action far more than motivation is ACCOUNTABILITY. This is one of the reasons why I will always have a mentor or be part of a mastermind—investing in myself + my big ideas creates a massive sense of accountability that helps me stay consistent even on the days I don’t feel motivated (and I definitely have those days!)
p.s. If you are looking for a dose of motivation to finish the year strong, our annual Powerhouse Women Event is only a few weeks away (and it’s close to selling out!)…I’d love to see you there and meet you IRL!
